The Harbours have officially arrived, and they’ve brought the sunshine with them. Bursting with feel-good indie pop charm, the Leicester lads deliver a five-track dose of youthful energy, sky-high choruses, and festival field-ready hooks on their debut EP, Are We There Yet?

Take “Scarlet (Boys That Sing)”, a glittering standout that bottles nostalgia and shakes it up with shimmering guitars and joyful hooks. For me, it’s the kind of track that transports you straight back to your indie coming-of-age era, where songs weren’t just tunes, they were the soundtracks to your life.

Like the indie legends that came before them (yes, we're looking at you Kasabian), The Harbours hail from Leicester and carry that unmistakable English charm that’s hard to fake and even harder to beat. But when it comes to their sound, they wear their influences on their sleeves. “We are super excited to release our debut EP. Our influences are The Kooks, Two Door Cinema Club and The Wombats and you can hear this in our guitar-driven songs,” the band say. “We want our listeners to take their own experiences from our music - it might mean something totally different to them than it does to us. We want to thank all our fans, the people behind the scenes, and the BBC Introducing team for supporting us. It’s been a fantastic creative process, and opening the vinyl hot off the press was truly emotional.”

With airplay from BBC Introducing, festival slots from London to Durham, and a loyal fanbase building fast, The Harbours are just getting started. And if Are We There Yet? is anything to go by, the answer is yes, they're well on their way.
