Nineteen-year-old Guðmundur Árni at Menace has been (just like the rest of us) adapting to the lockdown lifestyle. After living in Sweden for a while, Gud has returned to Iceland, where he was born and raised and has been working at a kindergarten assisting the teachers with the kids. In his spare time, Gud has been chilling at home with his brother - who just moved in with him - and listening to music while reflecting on what life is all about now and what to look forward to once the pandemic is over.
In this new series; we capture a few hours of Gud's Saturday morning in his apartment in Iceland. While being photographed via FaceTime, Gud talks about how the move back to Iceland has been like and what motivated him to do so. He talks about Iceland's government response to the pandemic and how different lockdown looks like when comparing it with the rest of the world. The objects surrounding him become the constant reminder that the reality inside is truly smaller than the one outside his apartment's four walls, yet, Gud is hopeful for life outside lockdown and the possibility of travelling to warmer climates - something that he has really been missing at the moment.
