LAYERED was created in memory of Leia — a space built to hold trans and non-binary creativity with care, intention, and reverence. At its core is community: the ways we find each other, protect each other, and keep going together, even when the world feels heavy.
The Girls Who Ride Forever speaks directly to that spirit. Shot in stark, intimate black and white by Drew Hogg, this photographic series is an ode to trans siblinghood — to the strength that comes from being held by one another, and the quiet power of finding light through shared experience. Drew describes the work as a reflection on how trans people carry each other through dark times, honouring both vulnerability and resilience in equal measure. It’s an offering made with deep sensitivity.
Paired with words by Tintin, together image and text build a layered portrait of trans existence that is expansive rather than singular — a reminder that identity is never static, and never endured alone.
Featuring Elix, Siren, Theo Papoui, Jaylin Ye, Danna Reyes, Daskaran, Evra, and Xena, The Girls Who Ride Forever is less about arrival than motion — about continuing, becoming, and riding forward together. It is a testament to softness as strength, and to community as something eternal.
