PUMA: BRINGING SLIPSTREAM BACK

Puma kickstarts summer with a launch of their latest, and most electrifying trainer yet. Channelling the courts of ’80s basketball, the new Slipstream unveils a modernised silhouette with bold, colourful panels encased in the classic white outline.

The brand first launched the emblematic Slipstream back in 1987, which quickly became a cult favourite amongst basketball stars for the comfort and stability the shoes provided. Slipstreams also found notoriety on the streets amid various subcultures and movements of the late ‘80s.

Puma once again prioritises performance and functionality with this latest drop, while creating a sleek and modern design suited for basketball courts around the world. Launching in line with father’s day celebrations, the new Slipstream is available to purchase from 9th June for a limited time. Buyers have until the end of the summer to secure themselves this latest, iconic Puma shoe.

The latest announcement was followed by endorsements from the most popular faces in sport and celebrity culture. Puma has recruited Neymar Jr, Romeo Beckham and Danna Palola as part of their “Welcome Unbored” campaign. The edit visits the stars breaking free from old expectations when it comes to sportswear, and venturing into the future that the new Slipstream represents.
