Just when you thought summer couldn't get any hotter, today British pop singer Allegra is turning up the heat with the release of her newest single Wildfire. But unlike wildfires which typically cause mass destruction, her track is about embracing your inner fire. “It’s about that moment when you stop caring about what others think and start living for yourself,” Allegra shares. “I wanted 'Wildfire’ to sound like freedom. Like you're dancing away everything that’s been holding you back.”
Produced by Tim Gosden and written by Allegra, Becky Smith and Tim Gosden, Wildfire makes you want to dance. It's a track that invites you to lose yourself in the rhythm and find something stronger on the other side.
This release marks a clear shift in Allegra’s direction and sets itself apart from previous tracks like “Do What I Want” or “He Ain’t You”. It feels like she's stepping into next chapter, both musically and spiritually. The music video for Wildfire also represents this transition. When speaking about the video, Allegra says "I didn’t want to do another “ typical” music video. I wanted to do something different, not just pretty shots of me if that makes sense. I wanted to create something which would grip people... I’ve never shot a music video like this before and I think it’s really opened my eyes to all the possibilities that I could create". And fans are taking notice: the single is already generating buzz across TikTok and Instagram Reels.
Having already amassed over 4.5 million Spotify streams and topped the UK’s Official Music Week Charts four times, Allegra is no stranger to the spotlight. Born and raised in London, Allegra has always worn her independence with pride. From early performances in school talent shows to writing her own lyrics in her bedroom, she’s built her career from the ground up. And if Wildfire is anything to go by, she's just getting started.
