What Materials Are Used to Produce Durable Branded Inflatables?






Branded inflatables are everywhere - trade show floors, rooftops, pool parties, festival grounds - but most people never stop to ask what they're actually made of. The right material choice depends on the application, the environment, and the level of print detail you need. Here are five materials that manufacturers use to produce branded inflatables that hold up over time.


PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)

Vinyl-Coated Polyester

Vinyl-coated polyester sits between raw PVC and woven fabric. It's a polyester base with vinyl coating applied to both sides, combining the structural advantages of a woven material with the printability of a smooth surface. Manufacturers use it for large-format inflatables that need to hold their shape under wind pressure: rooftop blimps, outdoor promotional figures, and giant custom replicas. The polyester foundation resists stretching, so the inflatable keeps consistent proportions across multiple uses rather than slowly deforming over repeated inflation cycles.
