SYMBIOSIS BY NOBIS: EMBRACE THE ELEMENTS

Canadian premium outerwear and accessory pioneers Nobis (Latin for “us”) are firm F Word favourites, and it's not hard to see why. With an ethos of sustainability, quality and functionality, not only do their clothes have longevity, the brand itself will continue to be timeless since their launch in 2007.

With the ever-changeable climate we are now facing; the new Transitional 2022 collection, SYMBIOSIS couldn't come at a better time. This cleverly crafted collection will have you set for all the elements; tactically designed to perform in mild to bleak weather, embracing the seasonal cycle from spring to summer, autumn to winter and back around again! With practicality always at the forefront, the collection is made from hybrid breathable merino wool base-layers with waterproof, and windproof finishes, lightweight layers of insulation, and is complete with windproof/waterproof windbreaker utility shells. Nobis’ membrane laminations, seam-sealed construction, and durable water repellent finishes join forces to create durable, machine washable pieces to transition with ease - what more could you want?

“We took our time analyzing the lifecycle of each product, developing each and every piece with purpose.” Michael Kerr, Nobis’ Senior Design Director says of the upcoming release, “Every layer is carefully considered as to its role in the system and how it contributes to the overall performance, not only of the garment, but the performance expectations of the consumer”.

Inspired by architectural balance and embracing both functionality and fashionability, this season offers two new, contrasting prints, in two earthy colours of wheat and black. And taking us back to nature is the fluid Desert print, which takes inspiration, and draws in motion, from shifting sands to blowing clouds. Standout features of the collection include the new addition Evo Ladies’ Performance Zip Sweater, and Layton Men’s Tactical Hybrid Sweater, both made from a combination of Merino Wool, offering light insulation and moisture wicking capabilities (and not to mention super softness!) and Nobis’ textured Premium Stretch Ripstop for durability. Other recommendations from the collection are the Spire Ladies Performance Half Zip, Caldera Ladies Shell, Ero Men’s Tailored Hybrid Sweater, genderless accessories, Tal 3-in-1 cap, Cader Adjustable Bucket Hat, Myce Insulated Racer Cap and Deterre Woven Scarf.

“Our latest designs push the boundaries within the luxury outerwear landscape, offering complete adaptability to our ever-changing climate. No longer is Spring just about bright colours and avoiding rain.” Robin adds, “It’s about ease of movement, breathability, the ability to step outside without living by the forecast. Truly, embracing the elements for whatever may come your way.”

With Mother Earth in mind, this season's fabrics include their signature 4W Durable Stretch Weave, a non-laminated, highly breathable, 4-way stretch sweater-weight fabric and a Premium Stretch Ripstop for subtle contrast texture. Both fabrics are Bluesign and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, which means they are free of harmful substances and are manufactured responsibly with the lowest possible impact on people and the environment.

So whether we get a "typical British", or an "Indian" summer, Nobis has you set - here's hoping it'll be the latter!
