Dream pop artist Luna's Instagram bio is 'your favourite fairy'. It makes sense, it's harder to imagine her doing human things like living in a house and shopping in Sainsbury's than it is to picture her living in a treehouse in the forest, foraging for food amongst the flowers.

Unlike fairies, however, Luna doesn't stop. Her latest album No Rest is a product of, well, just that. Reflecting on the album, she describes it as "a piece of my heart, my soul, my sleepless nights, and my wildest dreams". It feels autobiographical, as she explores the complexities of pursuing dreams amidst external pressures and internal struggles. Often, it feels like people wait to feel 'ready' or 'healed' before surrendering to their true calling - Luna is proof that you can - and should - continue to move towards your dreams before feeling 'ready' (let's face it, we're never truly ready anyway). She asks you to release your inhibitions and embrace the freedom that comes from showing up as your authentic self.

Born Aleksandra Wielgomas in Poland, Luna honed her skills in piano, violin, and vocal performance, laying a classical foundation that would later influence her unique sound. Her fascination with the cosmos, nature, and spirituality inspired her to adopt the stage name "Luna," Latin for "moon," symbolising mystery and transformation. In 2022 she released her debut album Nocne Zmory, which cemented her as a major force in Poland’s alternative music scene.
Since then, she has gone from strength to strength, gaining a huge following for her vulnerability and authenticity on TikTok. In Luna's world, she doesn't just play the fairy, she is one - casting spells through speakers and reminding us that a bit of magic still lives in the mundane.
