Sportswear apparel label Russell Athletic has unveiled their latest collection for their RAX (Russell Athletic X) and this season sees a brilliant celebration of the crewneck sweatshirt. Created by American Benjamin Russell Jr back in 1920 the RAX collection seeks to celebrate and pay homage to the designs that have cemented the brand into the sportswear market. The collection looks back at when Russell Athletic would collaborate on top quality sweatshirts for individual football teams encompassing 100 years of design and high-quality production.

For their pre-Spring-Summer 2020 Russell Athletic partners with one fo the best and most iconic department stores in the world, Selfridges, located in the heart of London and one of the most recognizable names among shoppers and tourists from all over the world. The collab sees the exclusive 19-piece RAX collection made from 500gsm dry organic loopback jersey, which is complemented by a range of Terry toweling styles from four of Russell’s original and most well-known silhouettes from the crewneck, hoodie, tee-shirt, and track pant.

The collection is fresh and seems to cover all the bases when it comes to contemporary sportswear without losing that streetwear feel. The Pre-SS20 collection sees some usually basic pieces being elevated by the Russell Athletic X aesthetic and high-quality production with large tag and brand logo allocated externally on the sweatshirts. The tier 0 collection is the perfect homage to Russell Athletic's core identity as it combines the new RAX logo with its iconic patch branding to update classic styles into our contemporary essentials. The light and fresh colorway include light pink, green, and white transitioning to the navy and burgundy.

RAX is now available at Selfridges London, Manchester and Birmingham and at
