Miriana Conte is a Maltese/Italian singer and performer carving out a distinct space within contemporary pop through her bold visual identity and emotionally charged sound. Blending high-energy pop with raw, expressive storytelling, her work captures the intensity of modern life, where confidence, vulnerability, and chaos exist side by side.
Her latest album, OVERSTIMULATED, marks a defining step in her artistic evolution. Described as a “glimpse into her mind,” the project explores emotional overload, self-expression, and personal growth, wrapped in a sound that is both playful and unapologetically direct. Moving between moments of high impact and introspection, OVERSTIMULATED reflects the fast-paced, hyper-aware world that inspires her.
Photographer Azazel Christian teams up with stylist Jeandor Farrugia for an exclusive F Word shoot, creating bold looks and strong silhouettes that mirror Miriana’s visual language — rooted in experimentation, exaggeration, and instinct. For Miriana, fashion becomes another form of storytelling; a way of revealing who she is without needing to say it — expressive, layered, and entirely unfiltered. Hair by Elizabett Fogel, makeup by Serena Polh.
Alongside this, an intimate conversation unfolds with the artist herself — a candid exploration of controlled chaos. The interview touches on her ADHD diagnosis, her artistic evolution, and the emotional intensity behind OVERSTIMULATED, her explosive new album out now.
F Word: How would you describe your energy right now, both as a person and as an artist?
Miriana Conte: It’s a little chaotic, I won’t lie. But it finally feels like controlled chaos. I feel more aligned with who I am, both musically and visually, and I’m learning to trust that more. It’s not perfect, but it’s very real.
FW: You’ve been evolving a lot recently, what feels different in this new era for you?
MC: It’s still a rollercoaster, but I’m definitely less scared to just go for things now. I used to overthink every little detail, and now I’m a bit more like... let’s see what happens. I trust my instincts more, even the slightly delusional ones, and that’s really shaped this new era.

FW: Your album “OVERSTIMULATED” has been recently released, what can we expect from it?
MC: “OVERSTIMULATED” is my truth in its purest form, a tribute to my identity and the experience of being diagnosed with ADHD in my 20s. It captures the intensity, and the beauty of feeling everything at once. It’s emotional, it’s explosive, it’s honest, and deeply relatable. I know a lot of people will see themselves in it. Every track comes from lived experiences.
FW: If Overstimulated had a fashion identity, what would it look like?
MC: Loud, layered, and full of statement pieces... something that feels like it’s doing a lot, but still makes perfect sense. It’s very much about being unapologetically yourself and not shrinking to make others comfortable.

FW: What role does fashion play in how you express yourself as an artist?
MC: Fashion is a huge part of my identity. It’s like the external version of what’s going on in my head.. a way of showing who I am without having to say it. It allows me to exaggerate certain emotions or moods, so it becomes another layer of storytelling alongside the music.
FW: What was the energy like on this shoot?
MC: I believe that when great people with great minds come together, amazing things happen! The energy was very free flowing, very in-the-moment. We were just creating and bouncing ideas off of each other, which made everything feel really natural. That kind of energy always translates on camera!

FW: When do you feel most like yourself?
MC: When I’m performing, writing or creating. Everything else just switches off, and I step into this world of being the more confident, cunty version of myself. That’s when I feel the most in control, like I’m exactly where I need to be.
FW: What’s something people might not expect about you?
MC: Since I come across as out-spoken, loud and expressive, I think people are surprised that I’m actually quite shy when I first meet them. It takes me a second to warm up, but once I do, I’m like... fully in your life. No filter. I’m also quite detail-oriented freak, I like to know what’s going on at all times... even when I probably don’t need to.

FW: What do you want people to take away from OVERSTIMULATED and this editorial?
MC: The main thing I want people to take away is that it’s completely okay to feel everything at once. That intensity often means something beautiful is coming.
And it’s okay to fully express who you are, even when it feels misunderstood. Even if the whole world makes you feel like it’s wrong, the right people will always connect with it. Trust.

FW: What’s next for Miriana?
MC: More music. Bigger moves.
FW: What’s your favourite ‘F’ word?
MC: “Fuck it!” I think that’s been my mindset my whole life, mostly because my brain just doesn’t shut up. I overthink, I get intrusive, I question everything… and then at some point I just go, “okay, fuck it,” and do it anyway.
