CREATIVE DIRECTION EMMA WELLS - PHOTOGRAPHY & GRAPHICS JAMIE NOISE - MAKEUP EMILIE LOUIZIDES - FASHION MAISIE JANE DANIELS

Inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s portrayal of love stories, particularly in his film William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet, creative quadruple Emma Wells (creative direction), Jamie Noise (photography), Emilie Louizides (makeup), and Maisie Daniels (styling) teamed up to capture the beauty that can be found in a range of emotions from lust, to loathing, to love and loss. The final story takes a cinematic approach; the images are treated as stills from a made up film concept with a cast consisting of 'the lovers', played by Biba and Reuben at Select, and 'the villain' played by Ralf at Anti-agency. The use of makeup and colour furthers the tragically beautiful narrative and demonstrates that a single picture really can represent a thousand words.
