LOCKDOWN 2.0 FEELS LIKE: a toxic relationship you aren’t able to leave.
A DAY IN LOCKDOWN LOOKS LIKE: wake up, meditate, play music, coffee and check emails. If I’m not working from home, I try to find something to do. Most days I walk to the park, read or rehearse lines in the morning. Eat, smoke and nap (it’s almost a routine). I’ve also started a social psychology course I’m super into and try to go over at least an hour! Later in the evening I FaceTime my friends and family for hours before diving into some documentary or film, then sleep.
MOST TIME SPENT DOING: watched lots of documentaries and movies, discovered new music and taking naps.
THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS TIME RIGHT NOW... AND A HOPEFUL STATEMENT FOR THE FUTURE… I think we’re so misinformed of what’s going on at the moment, but we will see clarity at some point, and meanwhile, we need to take care of ourselves and our loved ones and continue to nurture our minds, so we are ready when this ends. It feels like we are experiencing a reflection of how we’re treating the planet. I think it’s a great time to invest in self-reflection and change what’s not serving us anymore.
LOCKDOWN NOSTALGIA: dancing, especially when I'm around strangers. Melting into crowd's and diving completely into the music.
AFTER LOCKDOWN YOU’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO... THE MOST: travelling, hugging and kissing free of worry and stress.
A CONSTANT LOCKDOWN FEELING: emotional rollercoaster.
LAST THING YOU READ IN LOCKDOWN: The Social Animal by Elliot Aronson.
YOUR ULTIMATE SUPPORT BUBBLE: my mum and friends, I’m so grateful for them during this time, we’ve been closer than ever, even from miles away.
ONE UPSIDE OF LOCKDOWN: lots of self-exploration, I got into meditation and has helped me through it. I also got signed with an acting agency and have been busy making self-tapes.
LOCKDOWN AS A SONG TITLE: I’ll Stay by funkadelic
LAST SONG PLAYING: White Gloves by Khruangbin
THE PANDEMIC TAUGHT ME: patience, self-acceptance and reassurance on how I love some me time
