Italian apparel and footwear label FILA has released a sneak peek of their latest drop for Spring/Summer 2020, coming up in the next few weeks, and this time around the iconic sportswear giant brings an offering that celebrates the 2000s aesthetic. The collection pays homage to the turn of the Millenium using a selection of FILA SS20 apparel that seeks to promote and celebrate ‘girl power’ through the new social campaign unveiled this week.
The campaign conceptualizes modern women empowerment in a fun and quirky way as it shows girls to be bad-ass while remaining cool and stylish. The images translate a Fast and Furious look paired up with and Y2K aesthetics for the modern girl. The Spring/Summer 2020 collection seamlessly blends signature staples with new styles and are part of the ongoing process of reinventing themselves as a heritage brand that is moving fast-forward into the future.
The women’s offering sees highlight pieces such as the cropped tops and hoodies, velour two pieces and tracksuits, staple pieces that have been part of the FILA design offers for decades. The velour two-piece in baby pink brings a fresh hue into the collection and takes centre stage, as well as the throwback logomania denim two-piece, completed by iridescent navy sneakers as well as diamante Disruptors.
