Iconic apparel label Dickies has unveiled its Dickies Life Spring/Summer 2020 collection. The near century-long heritage brand has become known for its commitment to developing and producing workwear with a strong identity in contemporary fashion design. This season showcases the fashionability and functionality this American giant has become known for and is translated into creating an on-trend men’s apparel and accessories collection for Spring Summer 2020.
Dickies has also become famous for transcending many sub-cultures as well as crossing the boundaries of time. Dickies Life nods back to the 1990s with its ‘Color Block’ collection which sees contrasting color pops across a selection of pieces designed with a retro silhouette attached to them. One of the highlighted pieces is the ‘Denniston’, an oversized ¼ zip fleece paired with the ‘Twin City’ a bucket hat. The retro inspiration has gone a bit further in the wide array of Cuban collar shirts, namely ‘Forest Park’ presenting vertically striped.
Dickies Life pays homage to its workwear heritage with the ‘Custom Create’ collection composed by the all dark navy pieces embroidered throughout with ‘SAME OLD DICKIES’ across. This is a strong reference to the brand’s lasting success from consistently producing durable, functional and rugged garments since its conception. In addition to the ‘Custom Create’ collection. other more subtle workwear references as seen throughout such as the utility pockets in products like ‘Stillmore’, a lightweight utility vest and the ‘Edwardsport’ combat pant. Following on from the success of its co-ord offering last season, Dickies Life is introducing a summer upgrade with the ‘All Over Print’ collection. The collection features a repeated Dickies logo and is made up of a short sleeve t-shirt named ‘Maxeys’ and a pair of 6” elasticated shorts named ‘Cave Point’.
All collections are available now from dickieslife.com except ‘All Over Print’ which will be available from April.
