LAYERED was created in memory of Leia — a space to celebrate trans and non-binary creativity, community, and the worlds we build for ourselves when mainstream culture makes no room.

COLOUR U BLU is an exclusive editorial for F Word’s LAYERED print issue. More than an editorial, the story is an extension of Blu Parti itself — a trans-run counterculture club, chosen family, and living community that exists both on and off the dancefloor.

Built around voices from the Blu family, the piece centres what it means to be “blu”: freedom, softness, resistance, joy, and belonging. Through image, styling, and shared reflection, COLOUR U BLU captures the energy of a space where self-expression becomes collective, and community becomes colour.
