Armed with his camera, nineteen-year-old Archi Shah turns it to the crowds that surround him as he documents the UK rave scene and shines a light on the DNB DJs, MCs, and labels in his hometown of Buckinghamshire.
When asking Archi what inspires his work, it’s quite simple; it’s the ravers themselves. Shah explains: “Without them, there would be no rave and nothing to take photographs of. Being constantly distracted by the lights, the music, and the people are what inspire my work. I want people to gain a feel of what a rave might be like through my photos and hopefully show it in a positive light. Rather than how the mainstream media portrays it.”
