You know you are among high society's crème de la crème when you are out and about on a school night surrounded by Andy Warhol's works, sophisticated and elegantly dressed guests while tasting premium Don Julio 1942 tequila in some of the most exquisite cocktails. The surreal experience is more than just a dream when you find yourself in the room with the likes of David and Victoria Beckham, Takashi Murakami, Eva Longoria, Russell Tovey and many other public figures from the entertainment, interior design, art, and fashion worlds.

Last night (Monday, September 30th) British fashion designer Victoria Beckham joined Sotheby's to host friends and creative icons to celebrate the auction house’s 275th anniversary and discover a new Andy Warhol exhibition at the fashion designer’s flagship London store on Dover Street. The atmosphere in the room was everything you would imagine when names like Beckham, Warhol, and Julio meet - yes, Don Julio 1942 was the flavor fueling the guests as they enjoyed some of the most classic tracks by Dj Fat Tony and Lady Mary Charteris.

The collaboration between Victoria Beckham and international fine art broker Sotheby’s sees a meticulously curated exhibition of twelve works by the “King of Pop Art”, Andy Warhol coming together inside VB's Dover Street store in London, which will run until October 4th, 2019. The selected works look at the evolution of Warhol's oeuvre through three decades with the exhibition being inspired by the artist’s infamous New York studio, The Factory.

This exhibition is a historic mark and a new step forward in the development of the partnership between the auction house and Victoria Beckham who has previously hosted two exhibitions dedicated to Old Masters paintings in 2018. This is once again a testament to the fashion designer’s real and never-ending love of art and her interest in shining the spotlight on artists spanning various periods. Beckham's Dover Street flagship store has also hosted exhibitions and collaborations with artists including Martin Creed, Eddie Peake, and Emily Young.
