ALLEGRA IS SEEING RED IN HER BOLD NEW TRACK AND FULL EP, OUT TODAY

Last night the sky was lit up with fireworks, and if there’s one thing about a firework, it’s that it demands to be seen. It makes sense then that today, singer-songwriter Allegra releases her brand new EP. Out now via Radikal Records, the five-track EP marks her most confident era yet.

Having already built a loyal fanbase due to her candid lyrics and honesty regarding her own experiences in love, her recently released track Red feels like a turning point which sees the London based artist show a less reflective and more primal side to herself. If her debut was "Unsent Love Letters Vol.1", this project shows her signing, sealing and delivering her thoughts without hesitation. Red tells you that Allegra is a woman who knows exactly what she wants, and she's not asking permission anymore, instead turning her vulnerability into power. The music video sees Allegra switch between two worlds - one lit in pure white, the other in crimson. Dressed in leotards and sky-high heels, it's hard to tell if she's performing or if she's just being herself.

The EP also features her new tracks “Ash,” “Slow Dance” and “Love Me A Little” which see her dive deeper into themes of desire and self-discovery, in-keeping with her upbeat pop style. After her track "Wildfire" flew to number one on the Music Week Commercial Pop Chart and having collaborated with the likes of Tiësto and ALOK, Allegra’s ascent has been hard to miss. However her new EP feels less about proving herself and more about honouring the space she’s already built. It's playful and powerful, and it cements Allegra not just as one to watch, but one already lighting up the sky. Not too dissimilar from a firework...
