A DAY IN THE LIFE: EYELAR

WORDS MAISIE JANE DANIELSĀ - PHOTOGRAPHY CALLAWAY BREEZE - SPECIAL THANKS SONY MUSIC

F Word invited Eyelar, the Iranian-born, Dutch-raised, and London-based artist, to take us on a visual journey through a day in her life. With pen and pad in hand, we follow this captivating singer-songwriter as she transitions from serene moments on rocks to smiling with swans and creating magic in the studio. Alongside this visual exploration, we dive into a quick-fire interview to get to know this emerging talent better ahead of the release of her vibrant, empowering, and addictive new track, ā€œTerrible Loveā€- a pivotal moment of self-realisation and release for this artist to watch.

F Word: If you had to assign a temperature, a colour and a taste to your new single, what would it be?

Eyelar: Temperature 45 degrees, nice and hot, colour would be green and red, taste would be a really spicy chilli sauce!Ā

F Word: What was the biggest change you made to the single during the writing process?

Eyelar: The moment after the last chorus when I added a few bars, in the most dramatic theatrical way. I remember suggesting it to the producers, one of them was a bit hesitant about it but we gave it a try and I was so happy with it.

F Word: What are you hoping people will take from this song?

Eyelar: That it's okay to be angry and let your feelings out, rather than keeping it all in and press your feelings down. and to empower them to leave that toxic relationship, leave that situation that doesn't serve you and that you don't serve and move on.Ā

F Word: What genre could you see yourself experimenting for a future project?

Eyelar: I feel like my music is one big experiment.

F Word: If you had to choose one component for a great song, what would it be?

Eyelar: Lyrics and coffeeĀ

F Word: What's your favourite "F" word?

Eyelar: Probably "Fuck"
