F Word welcomed back London-based Zimbabwean pop singer-songwriter and rising star Ananya, following the release of her new track, "Emotions." The single comes on the heels of her critically acclaimed debut EP, i woke up one night, which has hit over one million streams.

In collaboration with award-winning producer Ramera Abraham (Adele, Little Mix, RAYE), Ananya delivers a powerful and heartfelt single that delves into the complexities of emotional healing, capturing the essence of moving on from a difficult relationship.

To celebrate this stunning release, F Word invited Ananya to take us through a day in her life, filled with food, friends, and fashion week.

F Word: If you had to assign a temperature, a colour and a taste to this single, what would it be?

Ananya: Emotions is intensely hot, I’d say 33 degrees celsius… It’s definitely an orangey pink and tastes like hibiscus iced tea. She’s here to live her best life after crossing oceans <3

F Word: What genre could you see yourself experimenting with for a future project?

Ananya: I’d really love to lean into the indie pop scene, I also love jazz.

F Word: Out of all the artists featured on F Word, who would you most like to collaborate with?:

Ananya: Without a doubt RAYE, I love her so much.

F Word: If you had to choose a new career completely outside of anything having to do with music, what would it be?

Ananya: I would’ve loved to be a lawyer or a fashion designer.
