LOCKDOWN 2.0 FEELS LIKE... 16 hour days, 11-3, nocturnal ennui, over and over, big creative energy and no energy at all.
A DAY IN LOCKDOWN LOOKS LIKE… The sun barely rising before it has set again, the moon in my window all big and yellow, not many passerby’s in the street these days, my four white walls and Netflix.
MOST TIME SPENT DOING… Sitting at my desk, guitar in one hand, other hand on the keys, writing, writing and more writing between mouthfuls of coffee or wine or sometimes both.
THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS TIME RIGHT NOW... AND A HOPEFUL STATEMENT FOR THE FUTURE… The animalistic side of me quite likes the hibernation this winter, the human side misses dancing. The one thing that keeps me going is how good the raves will be when this is all over. Nothing lasts forever, everything is transient.
LOCKDOWN NOSTALGIA... Good outfits at the club - sweating, aching legs, and out of breath from dancing. Kisses and spliffs with friends. House parties!
AFTER LOCKDOWN YOU’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO... THE MOST… A good Sichuan meal in Chinatown, xmas turkey and travelling again.
A CONSTANT LOCKDOWN FEELING… “What time is it?”.
