MODELS REFLECT ISOLATION: SONNY JAMES

SONNY JAMES, 20, London at Elite

reflecting isolation

F WORD: How have you been dealing with the whole isolation thing?

SONNY JAMES: I’ve been good and quite productive, which I am surprised with, to be honest. I am usually quite lazy but this time alone to myself has made me realise a thing or two.

F WORD: What have you been doing to occupy your time and mind?

SONNY JAMES: Mainly playing PlayStation with my boys, to be honest, Call of Duty has been a lifesaver [haha], although, I have still spent a lot of time helping my mum around the house too.

F WORD: How are you feeling about the COVID-19 pandemic?

SONNY JAMES: It’s a bit mad, I still don’t fully understand the severity of it because people are getting it from left, right and centre and nothing is happening to them, but the news are making it seem like if you get it, it’s game over… I do get why though, so I'm still applying myself to all the rules!

F WORD: What are your thoughts on how our government and the world is dealing with it?

SONNY JAMES: I am impressed, to be honest, I wouldn’t have expected them to put their foot down as much as they did.

F WORD: What would be your perfect soundtrack for this time?

SONNY JAMES: ‘Distance’ by Beast. One of my best mates showed me this song and it just made me feel good, I hope it does the same to someone else.

F WORD: Can you suggest a movie/series/or book we should check out during isolation?

SONNY JAMES: The Handmaid’s Tale; hands-down one of the best TV shows I’ve watched. The first season is a bit intense but calms down after that, I still love it though, currently waiting for season 4.

F WORD: A hopeful statement to encourage others:

SONNY JAMES: Don’t be scared to be alone, just get to know yourself a bit more and you will appreciate your own company more.

F WORD: Favourite f-word:

SONNY JAMES: Focus. Don’t let this time be wasted!
