MODELS REFLECT ISOLATION: SALLYANN CLARKE

SALLYANN CLARKE, 20, London at Select

reflecting isolation

F WORD: How have you been dealing with the whole isolation thing?

SALLYANN CLARKE: This is a really uncertain and scary time for all of us, so I am trying to stay as positive as I can. I haven’t been watching too much of the news, only enough so I know what’s going on, but I feel too much news just create a lot of anxiety. Therefore, I’ve been trying to do things which take my mind off everything, and will also benefit me when this is all over.

F WORD: What have you been doing to occupy your time and mind?

SALLYANN CLARKE: I have been reading, doing workouts, cooking and meditating, which are things I enjoy but I normally wouldn’t do as much, so when this is all over, I’m going to try and do them as often as I can. I have also been practising my makeup skills as they are pretty average [LOL].

F WORD: How are you feeling about the COVID-19 pandemic?

SALLYANN CLARKE: It’s a really sad and surreal time. At the start of it all, I couldn’t believe what was happening. I am finding the uncertainty stressful, but also remembering how fortunate I am, and we are so lucky to have the NHS and food available in supermarkets.

F WORD: What are your thoughts on how our government and the world is dealing with it?

SALLYANN CLARKE: I think it must be hard for them as we haven’t had to deal with anything like this before, but I do feel we should have gone into lockdown a bit earlier and had a bit more guidance from the government in the early days of the virus outbreak.

F WORD: What do you miss the most right now and something you look forward to?

SALLYANN CLARKE: I miss being able to spend time with friends, and family who I can’t see right now, and I really miss my work.

F WORD: Can you suggest any movie/series/books we should check out during isolation?

SALLYANN CLARKE: My favourite book is 'The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse' by Charlie Mackesy, which my Gran gave to me a while ago, and I think it is really appropriate for these times.

F WORD: A hopeful statement to encourage others:

SALLYANN CLARKE: Nothing lasts forever, the storm will pass.

F WORD: Favourite F-word:

SALLYANN CLARKE: Food for sure.
