F WORD: How have you been dealing with the whole isolation thing?
JOE CANNON: It’s weird. I usually like being at home and indoors. I find myself every day wanting to go outside and do something. So when a nice day comes around I really try to take advantage of that.
F WORD: What have you been doing to occupy your time and mind?
JOE CANNON: I love to read plays. Something else I enjoy doing is going on runs to clearing my mind. Sometimes it sucks but I feel great and centred after. Oh, and I started to pick up playing tennis.
F WORD: How are you feeling about the COVID-19 pandemic?
JOE CANNON: It’s strange. It’s scary how fast something can spread. I think we will adapt with time but as a society, we need to care and support our neighbours and our community more than ever at this time.
F WORD: What are your thoughts on how your government and the world are dealing with it?
JOE CANNON: I think we are doing the best we can. This thing has spread very rapidly and I think we’re doing our best to control it. I also think that this will bring some light to some problems in our healthcare system.
F WORD: What would be your perfect soundtrack for this time?
JOE CANNON: 'Stuck On The Puzzle' by Alex Turner.
F WORD: What do you miss the most right now?
JOE CANNON: My life. It’s almost like everyone’s life is on pause. I just have to adapt to the change and work through it just like everyone else. I also miss my girlfriend Kitty.
F WORD: What is the one thing you look forward to when this is all over?
JOE CANON: One thing I look forward to is a better sense of community. COVID-19 has put a dent on society in general and I'm curious to see what new social rules and regulations come from it. I'm also looking forward to travelling and hanging with friends and loved ones.
F WORD: Can you suggest a movie/series/or book we should check out during isolation?
JOE CANNON: One series would be Ozarks. One of the best series out there. It has a powerhouse of a cast and an amazing story. One book would be “A Life in Parts” by Bryan Cranston.
F WORD: A hopeful statement to encourage others:
JOE CANNON: Hey you, yea you, just stay strong and safe. Follow everything that you’re advised to do. Also, make sure to get some sun and have a great time with the people you love!
F WORD: Favourite f-word:
JOE CANNON: Fulfilment.
