MODELS REFLECT ISOLATION: JAE BAGNALL

JAE BAGNALL, 19, Derby at Premier

reflecting isolation

F WORD: How have you been dealing with the whole isolation thing?

JAE BAGNALL: At first, this was all pretty surreal, something I didn’t really believe. You can’t exactly comprehend something like this happening on such a mass scale but with routine, I’ve adapted to our new way of living rather comfortably.

F WORD: What have you been doing to occupy your time and mind?

JAE BAGNALL: I wanted to take time to find what things make me happy (new and old). I’ve rediscovered playing the piano, reconnecting with old friends and reading. I find journaling really helpful when it comes to the mental aspect.

F WORD: How are you feeling about the COVID-19 pandemic?

JAE BAGNALL: Personally I believe it’s nature running its course but we should be always taking steps to do what we can to slow the spread. I’ve already signed up to volunteer at the hospitals to do my part because finding ways to help and support others is also really important.

F WORD: What are your thoughts on how your government and the world is dealing with it?

JAE BAGNALL: The government have done a good job for the UK but I think they should’ve implemented the lockdown much sooner.

F WORD: What would be your perfect soundtrack for this time?

JAE BAGNALL: I’ve been listening to Catfish and the Bottlemen on shuffle as it brings me a sense of normality as I share plenty of good memories at gigs etc. And I believe it’s down to us personally to keep our positivity up.

F WORD: Can you suggest a movie/series/or book we should check out during isolation?

JAE BAGNALL: Now that’s a question... I would recommend Come Fly With Me. Your standard British humour. Can’t beat it.

F WORD: A Hopeful statement to encourage others:

JAE BAGNALL: It’s all temporary. Nothing stays the same forever.

F WORD: Favourite F-word

JAE BAGNALL: I’m not sure why but I really like the word fabulate. It’s brill!
